Bart De Wever, leader of the Flemish separatist party, the N-VA, has been universally castigated by politicians in Wallonia for 'talking down' Belgium. His crime? To say that Belgium was now the "sick man of Europe."
I'm surprised it took him, or anybody else, that long to realise. His comments were branded irresponsible, reckless and unhelpful. They forgot accurate. Sick man or not, this country doesn't work, and the bunch of clowns charged with fixing it are as clueless as ever. Maybe I should offer my services. I do weddings, barmitzvahs and hopelessly divided countries.
